⚖️ Inspiring the Next Generation of Criminal Justice Professionals! 🚔
A huge thank you to RGV LEAD for providing our students this opportunity. Terry Palacios from Hidalgo County District Attorney’s Office, Judge Singleterry, Justice Clarissa Silva, Justice Jenny Cron, Attorney Brent Bishop, Attorney Samantha Garza shared their knowledge and expertise with a few of our seniors from the Criminal Justice Pathway.
Our students had the opportunity to learn more about the justice system, explore the roles of legal professionals, and gain valuable insight into the courtroom process and careers in criminal justice. Experiences like these help bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world opportunities! 🎓⚖️
We are grateful for our community partners who invest their time and knowledge in helping our students discover their potential and prepare for future success. Together, we are building tomorrow’s leaders in criminal justice!

Congratulations to the Beethoven Secondary Early College High School Chess Team on an outstanding performance at today’s chess tournament held at Barrientes Middle School.
Our students competed in the Middle School/High School (MSHS) Novice Division, bringing home the 1st Place Team Trophy.
A special congratulations to Sebastian Marcano, 6th grader, who earned 1st Place in the Middle School/High School (MSHS) Novice Division with an impressive score of 4.5 out of 5 points.
Congratulations to all our chess players who competed in today’s tournament. Your hard work and dedication continue to make us proud.

🌟 Recognizing Early Signs of Emotional Distress in Children and Teens
Join us for an important parent workshop presented by Patricia Valenzuela, where we will learn how to recognize early signs of emotional difficulties in our children.
Children and teens often communicate their emotional struggles through changes in behavior rather than words. During this presentation, parents will learn to identify warning signs, understand what may be behind certain behaviors, and become more aware of their children's emotional needs.
Through practical strategies, reflection, and communication tools, we will discover how emotional connection, active listening, and a supportive home environment can make a meaningful difference in our children's mental and emotional well-being.

Last week, Mrs. Cantu's morning classes had the wonderful opportunity to welcome Edinburg Municipal Court for an informative and engaging presentation!
Students learned about:
🔹 The duties and responsibilities of the Municipal Court
🔹 The court process and what to expect when a case goes before the court
🔹 The consequences of bullying
🔹 The dangers and consequences of vaping and tobacco use
🔹 The serious dangers of driving while impaired
We truly appreciate Edinburg Municipal Court for taking the time to speak with our students and provide real world knowledge that goes beyond the classroom. Today Beethoven Criminal Justice Club Officers Ariel Olmos, Juan Zuniga, Annette Ibarra, Devany Sandoval and Joel Luevano participated in the fall Leadership workshop with RGV LEAD at Mission Event Center.
Students collaborated with other officers from different districts from around the valley while completing different activities. They heard from presenter Jonathan Medina and Director Ybanez about the importance of leading. The workshop helped them idevelop the hard and soft skills needed to inspire, guide, and motivate their team effectively.

This past Monday, the Criminal Justice Club had a meeting where they discussed how important communication is within the club and with officers. Students reviewed the upcoming events. President Ariel Olmos led the meeting and wanted to share that we are still collecting donations for Mujeres Unidas. Please help us make this drive a success.
